No words to express when you, yourself as a nurse is involved in not one but two car accidents. In 2008 I met dr. Roger for the first time when he operated on my father a cancer patient. Then here I was already two cervical fusions from my first accident now needing a third after a second car accident. I couldn't keep my head up.. And the pain was unimaginable. 10 years to the DAY he operated on my dad there I was on his table. The compassion, empathy and steady hands allowed me to keep my head straight. His staff? Truly a blessing for me throughout my continue journey. I love them and as a medical professional reccommed him to EVERYONE! He saved my sanity.
Dr. Roger, Neal, Joulet and the rest of the office staff are knowledgeable, kind, professional and courteous. In the 2 years I have been a patient of his, not once was I rushed, dismissed or ignored. My questions (and concerns!) were always addressed completely. Back surgery is nothing to mess with, and I had complete trust in Dr. Roger and his team. I had great results from the surgery under his hands. From the front desk to the "back to work" release, (received today!) an excellent surgeon and staff. I cannot tell you how much I love these people!!
Over the years a I've had a few incidences and a couple accidents directly involving my neck and had previous MRI's that indicated a need for surgery. I had seen a very well known neurologist a few years back and was told I needed a 4 level fusion but he wasn't willing to do it. I was a little confused after hearing that and I was at a loss for what to do and after that. A couple years later I saw another surgeon who had me get a new MRI and when I saw him after he reviewed the MRI said he was going to do a 2 level ACDF and rushed me out the door to the front desk to set up surgery. Needless to say, I was worried that his diagnosis didn't reflect that of the last Dr.. Fortunately my pain management doctor had referred me to Dr. Roger because of the severity of pain symptoms I'd been having in my neck and the partial loss of use in my left arm. Let me tell you, it was the best thing that she could have ever done for me. Dr. Roger, and all of his staff were so genuinely friendly. They all treat you with kindness and respect. After my initial visit with Neil. I saw Dr. Roger to follow up and discuss with him the MRI results. I brought my wife with me and Dr. Roger explained everything from the severity of my condition to what the surgery involved length of hospital stay and odds of regaining some use of my left arm. Dr. Roger said that I needed a 4 level fusion. So we scheduled the surgery for Feb 7, 2019 where I had a C3-4, C4-5, C5-6 and C6-7 fusion. Dr. Roger makes sure he talks with you in the operating room and is so reassuring. His confidence level just made me forget about the whole procedure so musch so that I had zero worries or apprehensions and was excited at the prospect of the possiblity of eliminating the pain and more importantly eliminating any more nerve damage. The whole procedure went off without a hitch and it's been 7 weeks post op and I'm out of my neck brace and no longer have the neck pain that gave me months of sleepless nights. In closing, I have to say that I am extremely blessed that Dr. Roger performed my surgery and owe him so many thanks.
It has been 3 months since my spinal fusion and I cannot thank Dr.Roger enough for what he did for me. He literally gave me back my life. I’m 53 and for the last 4yrs I have not been able to walk more than 50ft without horrible pain in my lower back. I could walk to the mailbox and that was it, but there was still pain. I had numerous injections, spinal ablation even acupuncture and nothing helped. Now I am able to walk half way around the block and I no longer have to lean over the shopping cart while in the store. Dr. Roger and his staff were amazing, friendly and made you feel comfortable. Thank you so much Dr. Roger, you have given me back some freedom.
Dr Roger, I personally believe you are one of the finest in the WNY area and not just the city of Buffalo. I cannot believe how many people suffer from Chronic back pain. Your gift of reconstructive spine and back surgery is admired here in the Southern tier as well. We are fortunate to have such talented men as yourself. You are much appreciated. -Former patient. It's been a few short years since I had my Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant, and I praise this fine man every day for the relief of pain I was suffering and the thought of having to rely on pills the rest of my life. Dr. Roger, wife and staff are the highest quality people you will ever meet!
I was in pain on and off for four years, and in debilitating pain for the year before my microdiscechtomy. After the procedure, the pain was gone, I couldn't believe it. From pre-op procedures and getting required documentation to my employer to my recent follow-up appointment, I recommend Roger and his team without hesitation. Thank you for helping me get my life back, best investment ever.

I don't know where I would be today if you hadn't become a surgeon. There is a huge difference: doctors that chose a career because of money and doctors who choose a profession because of heart....you are the latter. -Karen Solovey

Eric P. Roger M.D.
I had my back done in 2009 by him and he was wonderful, Before the surgery I was almost confined to my wheelchair but Dr. Roger calmed me down and told me he could fix me and I would be able to walk again and after 11 hours of surgery I was put back together so when my neck broke in 2013 the only person I trusted to fix that was Dr. Roger and he calmed my fears and even gave me a hug before I was knocked out.... He is an amazing surgeon and a wonderful Doctor who actually does care about his patients and it shows.... If you need any kind of neurosurgery then you need Dr. Roger he is not only the Best Doctor but the Best Human being you could have at your side because he really shows that he gives a darn about each and every one of his patients and all of us at special to him.... I love this doctor to pieces... You simply can't find a better pair of hands with a compassionate human being actually caring about each and every one of his patients. - Angela Melandez
I went to Dr. Roger after trying multiple therapies for the pain in my lower back and radiating down my leg. He reviewed my test results thoroughly and explained all my options clearly. He did NOT push for surgery, but recommended I try one more steroid injection to see if it offered relief. It did not, so we met and discussed all the details of the proposed surgery, recovery times and return to work details. His staff was exceptionally efficient, kind and never made it seem like a 'bother' if I had questions. I am now 7 weeks post-op and doing great! Danielle and Neil were outstanding - they really care about their patients! I highly recommend Dr. Roger and his practice.
I'm glad I chose you as my doctor. You saved me from ending up paralyzed from how bad my neck was. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't be walking today. -Kevin Chionski
Dr. Roger and Staff are so friendly and he is honest with you and doesn't lie. Staff is so friendly and will answer whatever questions you have. Keep up the great work Dr. Roger and Staff.
It wasn't an easy thing to do for me to put faith in a surgeon but you sir made it easier. So thank YOU. I'm a stubborn man and I would have just kept putting the surgery off until it became way to late.I don't want to leave out your entire staff either, everyone in your office was great. Honestly hoping I don't have to see you all again for surgery anyway lol but if I need it I will not hesitate to come to you
Dr. Roger performed a cervical spine fusion surgery with disc replacement and plate last July. I'm not one to write reviews and definitely not one that likes doctors lol but I will say this surgeon explained everything clearly and answered every question I had. He expressed the severity of my issue and did not push me to do the surgery. which many doctors seem to do. everything that I was told would happen pretty much went the way he said it would. awesome surgeon, would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Excellent surgeon. Did spinal fusion and recently neck fusion. Highly recommended.
